English writer Douglas Adams wrote the book The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy in 1979. The book begins with rather provoking abstract:

Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small unregarded yellow sun.

Orbiting this at a distance of roughly ninety-two million miles is an utterly insignificant little blue green planet whose ape-descended life forms are so amazingly primitive that they still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea.

Site "Way of Heart" has been created for so-called hitchhikers too. I.e. for people who aren't looking for well-trodden ways or autobahns in a personal spiritual development and realize or feel intuitively: how many people are, so many Ways are to it.

Surely, it's desirable to put up a hand and see the Teacher near who would promise to solve all the problems of you. However, it's impossible. Therefore, you have to act by your own. You have to perform experiments, to search for solutions, to analyze, to be worrying. And what is more unpleasant – you are going by the way and do not know where you will come to. It doesn't fit into the habitual system of co-ordinates: you're going and don't know, where to. Some uncertainty, panic. Here you should remember the motto of the legendary book The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy – Don't panic!

"You are in the way if you even don't know about it." You should agree: this phrase is rather intricate. What the way is? How can I be ignorant that I am in the way? When I am lying on the sea beach and having a cooling drink, am I in the way too? But I don't move to anywhere!

It's comprehensible that by "way" we mean not a physical definition, but a process of spiritual development, self-cognition and cognition the surrounding world. This way is full of comprehension, inner choices, solutions and excitement. Therefore anyone has got a personal way. People come to identical conclusions at the end, but spiritual ways are always different. There are no identical ways in fact. It can be compared to ordinary physical road: you are going and supporting yourself with a stick.

On the spiritual way you are supporting yourself with only your own will, but then you realize that you aren't lonely: many hands, eyes, hearts are ready to support you, to introduce their own experience. Many are ready to support you gently and freely, giving you the right of choice of the development direction. Freedom and responsibility are simultaneous categories in fact; when you realize the responsibility and accept it, you become free – you are ready inside to pay any price for your choice.

А теперь о блаженстве. Тебе знакомо состояние радости и счастья. Они вызываются различными причинами и длятся относительно недолго – слишком велико давление обстоятельств и слишком много поводов к расстройству. Но Мастера говорят о неком состоянии блаженства, которое доступно человеку и не подвержено никаким влияниям. Это кажется утопией, ибо подобного опыта человек не имеет – а значит, и представить его не в состоянии.

Наша радость и наше горе нераздельны. И если сейчас маятник качнулся в сторону радости – он лишь набирает энергию для отклонения в сторону горя.

Если же ты войдешь во внутреннее пространство – все изменится. Это не значит, что уйдет горе. Вместе с ним уйдет и радость (скорее, ее суррогат, который нам известен). А наступит как раз то состояние, которое называют блаженством. Понять это интеллектуально невозможно. Для нас потерять радости жизни – равносильно смерти, и многих это пугает.
